Welcome to the Lumen State & Local API Documentation. This document describes the Lumen State & Local API interface definitions and available endpoints.
The Lumen & and Local API is only for use by existing Lumen customers. The Lumen State & Local API and associated technology should be used by someone familiar with API interfaces, REST, JSON, and XML. Request access to the Lumen State & Local API through the Contact Us page.
The Lumen State & Local API allows Lumen customers to directly make calls from their own application instead of having to login to Lumen portals to get information or complete actions. This enables an efficient mechanism to interface with Lumen services related information and activities.
Lumen supports the OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials grant type flow for external access by applications.
In summary, you will first obtain your OAuth 2.0 client credentials from Lumen. Then your client application will request an access token from the Lumen Authorization Server, extract the access token from the response, and send the token as a Bearer token to the Lumen API endpoint that you want to access.
